Description
Tandem mechanical seal pump for pumping stillage, bards, spirits, evaporation concentrate, paint, food products. Industrial pumps in stainless steel AISI 304, (housing, shaft, impeller). The standard BGWH pump is equipped with a single mechanical seal, which operates in a pumped medium with a high content of dry substances, in contact with the friction pair, which stick and deposit on the friction pair, creating a crust from flour, sugar, yeast, etc.
By upgrading the seal with a chamber for coolant and flushing fluid, we have eliminated this kind of problem by feeding water at a pressure higher than the working fluid pump.
This seal is used when it is not possible to supply the seal with a barrier fluid. Such a mechanical seal is absolutely leak-proof, but its service life is shorter than that of a double mechanical seal with a barrier fluid. In addition, this seal interacts less well with abrasive fluids and fluids that crystallize.
